Churro Cheesecake Bites – My Wife’s Favorite Dessert Yet!
By Kevin Cossairt
Out of all the desserts I’ve made over the years, these Churro Cheesecake Bites have quickly become my wife’s absolute favorite. That’s saying something, considering how many different sweet treats I’ve whipped up in our kitchen! The combination of crispy, cinnamon-sugar-coated crescent roll dough and smooth, creamy cheesecake filling makes these bites irresistible—and the best part? They’re incredibly easy to make.
The first time I made them, I was just experimenting, trying to bring together the flavors of churros and cheesecake in a bite-sized treat. The moment my wife took her first bite, she looked at me with that “you better make these again” expression—and I knew I had a winner. Now, these have become a go-to dessert in our house. Whether it’s a date night at home, a holiday gathering, or just a random weekday treat, these always make an appearance.

How to Make Churro Cheesecake Bites
These cheesecake-filled churro cups are made with store-bought crescent roll dough for convenience. Each piece is brushed with butter, coated in cinnamon sugar, and filled with a rich cheesecake mixture before baking to golden perfection.
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a regular 12-cup muffin tin. Cut the crescent roll dough into 16 equal squares, brush each side with melted butter, and coat generously with cinnamon sugar to get that classic churro taste.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth. Optional: Fold in diced fresh strawberries or your favorite fruit for an extra burst of flavor.

Step 3: Assemble & Bake
Press each cinnamon-sugar-coated dough square into the muffin tin to form a cup. Fill each one with about 2 tablespoons of cheesecake filling and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and set.

Step 4: The Finishing Touch
As soon as they come out of the oven, brush the tops with more butter and sprinkle with extra cinnamon sugar. Let them cool slightly before serving. They’re delicious warm, but just as good chilled!

Fun Ways to Serve & Customize These Churro Cheesecake Bites
🍓 Fresh Fruit Twist – Add blueberries, raspberries, or diced peaches to the cheesecake filling.
🍫 Chocolate Lover’s Dream – Serve with a side of warm chocolate sauce for dipping.
🥐 Flaky & Buttery Upgrade – Swap the crescent dough for puff pastry for an extra crisp bite.
🍯 Extra Indulgence – Drizzle with caramel or honey for a richer, sweeter finish.
🥥 Tropical Vibes – Use Pillsbury Hawaiian crescent rolls for a subtly sweet flavor twist.
